Atmosphere furnace, also known as high temperature atmosphere furnace, evolved from Muffle furnace. Among them, tubular atmosphere furnace is widely used. The main purpose of atmosphere furnace is to pass a specific gas into the sintering at high temperature for special heat treatment, or to protect the heat treated sample from oxidation. 1. Different structures
Muffle furnace structure is composed of furnace, shell, furnace door, electric control system, generally side open, mainly used for ceramic/metal sintering, high temperature test.
The standard of atmosphere furnace is more strict, and the design scheme is different. On the basis of the original design of Muffle furnace, atmosphere furnace adopts the technology of gas channel and vacuum system, and adds some components, which can carry out material treatment in vacuum state, or punch protective gas for sintering, quenching and other technical professional treatment. Compared with Muffle furnace, the performance is more superior.
2. Different fields of application
Muffle furnace is mainly used in chemical production enterprises, metallurgical production enterprises, glass production enterprises, ceramic production enterprises, magnetic materials, refractory materials, crystals, electronic components, kiln manufacturing, laboratory testing units and other professional fields. Especially, box-type resistance furnace and box-type high temperature furnace are widely used. And usually, Muffle furnace with vacuum drying oven use.
The characteristic of atmosphere furnace is that at a given temperature, a certain component of artificial preparation of atmosphere elements into the furnace, in order to achieve a certain purpose of heat treatment, such as gas carburizing, carbonitriding and bright quenching, annealing, normalizing, etc.
