Principle of Operation:

Brushless DC motor uses semiconductor switching devices to realize electronic commutation, that is, electronic switching devices instead of the traditional contact commutator and brush. Brushless DC motor is composed of permanent magnet rotor, multipole winding stator, position sensor and so on. According to the change of the rotor position, the position sensor converts the current of the stator winding in a certain sequence (that is, the position of the magnetic pole of the rotor relative to the stator winding is detected, and the position sensing signal is generated at the determined position. After the signal conversion circuit is processed, the power switch circuit is controlled, and the winding current is switched according to a certain logical relationship). The operating voltage of the stator windings is provided by an electronic switching circuit controlled by the output of the position sensor.

When the rotor is rotating, the photosensitive components on the stator will generate pulse signals intermittently at a certain frequency due to the action of the light screen.

The brushless DC motor using electromagnetic position sensor is equipped with electromagnetic sensor components (such as coupling transformer, proximity switch, LC resonance circuit, etc.) on the stator assembly. When the rotor position of permanent magnet changes, electromagnetic effect will make the electromagnetic sensor generate high-frequency modulated signals (the amplitude of which changes with the rotor position).
