RAD-7 Spectrum Radon Detector Real-Time Continuous Radon Monitor
RAD7 is a sophisticated electronic radon detector with pre-programmed Settings for common tasks. The instrument has a built-in air pump, rechargeable battery and removable wireless printer. RAD7 can store large amounts of radon data for later use and is widely used in laboratories and research work worldwide. It is used by professional radon testers, mitigators, and home inspectors, as well as by research scientists who study groundwater, mines, deserts, oceans, and volcanoes in extreme temperatures. A sturdy carrying case encapsulates the instrument to ensure on-site reliability. The RAD7 electronic radon detector detects the alpha decay of radon daughters for 3 minutes without interference from other radiation. It can also detect the instantaneous alpha decay of thorium gas daughters for rapid thorium gas measurements. The instrument can sniff entry points and radon vents and recover from high radon exposure in minutes, and can measure EPA action levels of 4pCi/L within two hours with a standard deviation of 10%. At the end of each run, the detector prints out a complete report. The included attachment is sufficient to measure radon and thorium gases in the air. In addition, optional accessories can be used to measure radon gas in soil and water, to measure radon emissions from surfaces, objects and bulk materials, and other specialized applications.
