Air shower provide controlled environments for the production of contaminant-free products. Air showers play a vital role in maintaining these clean-critical settings by removing loose particles of contamination from people and products before they enter the clean room.
Self-cleaning air showers help reduce product defects and increase production yields. These devices can also improve the performance of and reduce maintenance needs for the clean room itself by lowering the overall contamination load. Without an air shower’s “pre-cleaning” process, a cleanroom’s air filtration system would have to absorb all contaminants, which would increase energy consumption and maintenance costs.
Clean Air Products designs and manufactures cleanroom air showers in a range of standard air shower sizes and configurations. We have self-cleaning air showers to meet most customer requirements; however, if your cleanroom requires a special or unique entry system, we also provide custom air shower that are built to match your unique specifications.
Technical Specification
Construction:
The entire housing of the air shower is of stainless steel AISI 304L 4B (Transparent Brite). The doors are of laminated safety glass, thickness 8 mm, evenly mounted to the housing (without unsightly aluminium frame), one in front of the other or centrally mounted, electro-magnetically counterlocked opening system allows opening after each dedust cycle. Ventilation:
Centrifugal double-suction ventilator, nominal airflow rate 2.400 m³ / h at working pressure of 1.600 Pa.
Filtration:
1 ea. HEPA-Filter, class H14 with high pressure output, according to CEN EN 1822 and 2 ea. class 3G coarse dust prefilter. Access to the filters for exchaning is from the inspection panel above the shower. The prefilter panels are fitted with a rapid-lock system (without screws).
Pressure control:
With analogue Dwyer manometer for supervising the differential pressure at filter surface.
Air jets:
The air is blown through adjustable aluminium air jets into the shower chamber with internal butterfly valve to regulate the air output. The airspeed is manually adjustable in a range of 20 to 30 m/s.
Reduced airspeed:
The air speed reduction starts automatically after each cycle.
